Training on Bangladesh Labour Rules 2015


Training objectives: The overall objective of this training program is to updated knowledge of Bangladesh labor Rules 2015 for the executives responsible for managing human resources/workforce. Develop the skill on identification of applicable Labour Law for industrial relations related to compliance issues. Develop awareness on the essential regulatory issues in dealing with workforce in the industrial scenario. Develop the skill to handle disciplinary cases and employee grievances. Develop skill to initiate steps to avoid mistakes in light of regulatory requirements.

  • Different type of Leave [Annual, Festival etc], its calculation and payment
  • Wage and Piece rate worker, wage deduction, ADR for Wage
  • Trade Union, CBA and its Registration,
  • Formation and function of Participation Committee
  • Profit Participation: Its rules and procedure
  • Formation of Provident Fund, Rules and Trusty Board
  • Power and responsibility of Director of Labor and inspector
  • Approval of Factory’s Layout plan and Registration Procedure

During the discussions, the resource person addressed the entire questions raised by the participants. Participants shared their views and practical knowledge during the training session. Participant’s interaction was meaningful.

Training evaluation: The program was evaluated through structured questionnaire. On the training course, participants evaluated the whole training program through prescribed format.

Resource person: Mr. Adv. Jafrul Hasan Sharif, Member of drafting committee of Bangladesh Labour Rules 2015 and Chairman of Attorneys, a legal and management consulting firm. Have more than 17 years of experience, working in the field of legal service, labor and human rights issues as a lawyer, and an expert in resolving labor disputes, legal implication of human resource management, and labor compliance in the industries and legal aid, alternative dispute resolution. Also Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, Training coordinator, BEF act as course coordinator and provide support based on demand of resource person and participants.

Conclusion: In conclusion, Participants expressed their positive feedback that they would make some contributions at their workplaces by using gathered knowledge.
