Training Title: Training on Disciplinary Action, Grievance Handling and Departmental Enquiry

Training objectives: The overall training objective is to updated information of disciplinary action and departmental enquiry. Develop the skills on identification of applicable Labour Law for disciplinary action. Identify the best practices of Grievance handling. Develop awareness on the essential regulatory issues in dealing with workforce in the industrial scenario. Develop the skill to handle disciplinary cases and employee grievances.

During the discussions, the resource person addressed the entire questions raised by the participants. Participants shared their views and practical knowledge during the training session. Participant’s interaction was meaningful.

Training evaluation: The program was evaluated through structured questionnaire. On the training course, participants evaluated the whole training program through prescribed format.

Resource person: Mr. Barrister Omar Bin Harun Khan is Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh; He is one of the leading labour and employment law practitioners of Bangladesh. He has both local and global exposure in this area of law. Apart from working for significant number of companies and organizations on labour issues, he is also working as a consultant of the ILO on various legal matters. Also Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, Training coordinator, BEF act as course coordinator and provide support based on demand of resource person and participants.

Conclusion: In conclusion, Participants expressed their positive feedback that they would make some contributions at their workplaces by using gathered knowledge.
