Training Title: Training program on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Soft Skills for Ship-building sector.

Training objectives: The overall training objective is to updated knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Soft skills for the trainers responsible for conducting training at different TTC both public and private. Sharing practical knowledge & experience on OHS for specific Ship-building sector. Develop awareness on the essential health issues in dealing with workforce in the industrial scenario.

During the discussions, the resource person addressed the entire questions raised by the participants. Participants shared their views and practical knowledge during the training session. Participant’s interaction was meaningful. The program was evaluated through structured questionnaire. On the training course, participants evaluated the whole training program through prescribed format.

Resource person: Mr. A.S.M Kamal Uddin, Sr. Safety officer, Western Marine Shipyard Ltd and Mr. Abu KowcherBhuiyan, Senior Executive, BGMEA has acted as resource person. Both trainers are experienced and skilled in OHS sector. Also Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, Training coordinator, BEF act as course coordinator and provide support based on demand of resource person and participants.

Conclusion: In conclusion, Participants expressed their positive feedback that they would make some contributions at their workplaces by using gathered knowledge.
