Origin
Since its founding in 1998, Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) now stands as an all-country organization representing all sectors of industry, trade, and services. The Federation represents nearly 90 percent of the established employers in the private sector, all the Sector Corporations and autonomous bodies, such as, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation, Bangladesh Power Development Board, etc.,Individual enterprises, and sectoral line associations of specific industries, i.e., ready made garments, leather, agro-processing, frozen food, etc.
BEF engages itself in a wide range of activities covering social, labour, employment, and economic issues.
